Pete Moran

Pete Moran, also known as “Pablo,” is a local artist from Green Bay.  This particular collection of Pete’s work is entitled “Houses.”  Pete enjoys working with a variety of colors and creates his buildings using markers, pencils, ink, and a variety of different rulers and templates.  Pete has been drawing since childhood, and his “Houses” series is inspired by his nostalgia for older houses and architecture.  He will draw for hours on end in his bedroom and in any art studio he can find.   In 2023 in association with Aspiro at Sage Gallery, Pete participated in “Hello my name is,” which was a series of exhibits designed to introduce artists with disabilities to the community.  Pete’s holiday card designs have been included in the annual Aspiro holiday fundraising campaign and featured in and sold in Aspiro silent auctions.

Pete is one of 11 children, and art runs strongly in his blood.  Pete’s dad, Bernie, owned and operated Moran’s Quality Print Shop and his drawings of Green Bay and De Pere are featured in prominent historical buildings, homes, and churches around the area.  Mom, Patricia, went to Layton School of Art in Milwaukee for fashion design, which is where she met Bernie.  Pete likes to talk about and remember stories of his parents when he works.  Pete is currently working on a landscape series, studying both local landscapes as well as landscapes by Constable and other historical landscape painters. He hopes that people will enjoy his Houses series and looks forward to future showings!
